Enquire about this carThe cost saving by buying this project is fomidable. Over £20,000 has been spent reaching the current position. To be offered this for less than £12,000 will have any astute enthusiast already reaching for his cheque book. Let's see why this statement is true and worthwhile.
The chassis has been bed checked for accuracy, then zinc plated and stove enamelled. The chassis has then been fitted with new road springs, all new mtg. pins, fully rebuilt axles, differential, battery tray, prop-shaft, prop-shaft tunnel, new hubs, new half-shafts, seals & bearings. Moving to the front end, the trackage has been overhauled but not the box, new road springs fitted, new king pins, seals & bearings.
Next, the chassis is fitted with fully rebuilt, relined original 12" cable brakes with new operating cams, new operating cables, and overhauled handbrake. Finally there is a full set of fitted restored Luvax rear shocks and brand new unwrapped front Hartford friction shocks. Amazing!
The bulkhead is complete with restored CJR2 fuse box, fuel pump, plug holder, foot starter, coil, and brand new wiring loom. There is even the auto lube system included & fitted, and importantly the original guarantee & body plates.
Now to the engine: this has been completely rebuilt with a new steel PB block, Phoenix crank and rods, new cylinder head, all new cyl. head gear (cam, rockers, valves, guides, etc.) and is complete with rocker box, dynamo, starter, and all manifolding. The carbs have not yet been rebuilt but are the better 'N' series 1&1/8th with improved inlet manifold.
It is important to note here that the previous owner had the foresight to fit a supercharger drive coupling , crank seal and correct s/c engine/rad. support ....... should anyone wish to fit a nose mounted supercharger. This will save endless time and hassle later should a s/charger be fitted. This complete engine unit alone has cost not far short of £9000.
The clutch is restored and fitted with the late P series '165' gearbox and remote.
The chassis is completed with brand new exhaust system, four wheels and brand new tyres.
There is a complete set of headlamps + spare rims and lenses, original ST 38 rear lamps, but there is no rad. or shell. (Obtainable).
It's a staggering 'buy' and can be bought over the phone with complete confidence or viewed by appointment here at our shop. I know it is stupidly cheap, but there is nothing broken or untoward, we are just having a clear out at the moment.
Just a super retirement project........and it's all on a DVLA V5c (orig. reg. No.) and on the MMM register.

(I have access to a restored P type 2-seat body and this info. can be passed to the purchaser of above. You could also easily fit the above with a pointed-tail 'Q' type body.)
